About Me
I always knew I wanted to start a career in the beauty industry, it has always been my life passion. Straight after graduating I jumped right into hair school, quickly realizing it just wasn't for me. Even though the hair industry wasn't truly what I was looking for, I was not giving up there! After some time had passed and lots of thinking I booked the first available Esthetics course at the first place I could find, instantly knowing this is it! Here I am 3 years down the road and my love for the beauty world is only growing bigger. Floof Bar was created to continue the passion and deliver nothing but excellent, painless and clean waxing!
Before We Begin
For best results make sure it has been 4 weeks or more since your last wax, and about 3 weeks since you last shaved. Please don't use any moisturizers 24hrs before your appointment to ensure the wax will stick to your hair. Before your appointment jump in the shower and lightly exfoliate, this will assist the hair exit the follicle with ease and less breakage. Make sure you are not using any skin-thinning medications or prescribed steroids'
(ie: Accutane, AHA's Retin - A) Contact your Doctor if you are unsure or have questions to make sure the medication is safe to use during hair removal.
After Care
For Best Results
To ensure whiteheads do not occur no showers, baths, saunas or hot tubs, avoid heavy exercise and sun tanning (booth and sun)
No exfoliation for 48hrs to avoid your skin getting irritated.
Ingrown hairs are normal for your first couple visits, if ingrown hairs occur do not pick, exfoliate and moisturize, this will help assist the affected hair to find its way out.
Try your best to not shave in-between waxes, we are training your hair to become less coarse and soft. Shaving will restart the process. Book your next appointment in 4 - 6 weeks for noticeable change in your hair growth & appearance!
